is CHEF? |
CHEF
(Christian Home Educators Fellowship) is a network of homeschool support
groups and other homeschool contacts, organized and operated by volunteer
representatives of the participating support groups. We meet bi-monthly
with the resolve to encourage and facilitate communication and fellowship
between homeschool support groups and other conservative family organizations
for the sharing of ideas, mutual support, and cooperatively working together
to train, nurture and minister to all homeschoolers. |

Jon
and Candy Summers have been leaders of Christian Home Educators Fellowship
since 1993 and served as leaders of the North County Christian Home
School Association from 1987 to 1998. Candy graduated with a Bachelor
of Science in Elementary Education but has chosen to homeschool her
children since 1980. She has authored a book titled, "There’s
No Place Like Home" and publishes a bi-monthly newsletter by the
same title.

The
CHEF logo was designed to symbolize the spiritual strength of a Christian
homeschool family, based on a firm foundation of biblical principals. It
was designed exclusively for Christian Home Educators Fellowship based in
St. Louis, MO by MKS Visual Communications and can only be used by participating
volunteer support groups of CHEF accompanied by the words "A Volunteer
Member of Christian Home Educators Fellowship". |
